Life moves with events of joy and pain
None can predict a time of constant pleasure
This may be compared with sunshine and rain
All such events together make our treasure
Some time ago went to a beautiful countryside
Enjoyed the flavor of paradise with dear one
Then started for home taking a rickshaw ride
Suddenly met an accident shattering my plan
My wrist was broken causing great problem
My fellow was terrified and started to scream
The brain could not find anyone to blame
A great flaw invaded into a pleasant dream
There was no scope to stop and lament
Something had to be done as quickly as possible
Rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment
Doctors declared the case was quite horrible
They stretched my hand to fix the bone
Great pain filled my eyes with tears
Doctors consoled me with friendly tone
And put white bandage and other gears
A captive life began with my tied hand
The power of writing was lost suddenly
Memories hovered around like flying sand
My mother’s face appeared frequently
It was a strange coincidence that fractures
Happened to me and my beloved mother
I could realize after many many years
How broken bones compelled her to suffer
But,her case was worse than my misfortune
She had to manage the whole family
She was compelled to work completely alone
Though it might be a cruel anomaly
I could rediscover my mother in my mind
Lack of her photograph gave me freedom
Despite our poverty she was very kind
Her thoughts and actions were uniform
Knowing about my passion in writing poem
She asked me to write on lovely sunbird
I selected many words and played with them
But failed to solve the challenge, it was so hard
The mishap took me to many hospitals
For my treatment and medical test
All those journeys were like flower petals
That enriched my experience offering the best
I met many patients with serious conditions
But they were quite patient and exchanged smile
I could learn from them how to control emotions
Overcome stress and adopt proper lifestyle
My parents left the world ending mission
We shall have to follow them eventually
Let’s evaluate our past to define vision
And embark upon another life prudentially
